WHO SHOULD SCAPE WHIPPING?

Even if you accept in a very Walter Kaufmann kind of way that Shakespeare was no Christian, this is absolutely a Christian idea. Whatever else he may have thought about the words and ideas of Jesus, Shakespeare clearly expresses such Christian ideas as "Do unto others" and "Who has been forgiven little, loves little".He seems to have a deep sympathy for human beings at least as he expresses it through Hamlet.
